Europa Point were back in action in the league on Sunday with a match agains Lions Gibraltar. Lions took the lead 3 minutes in through Mikael Ndjoli but their lead was canceled out just three minutes later by a strike from EPFCs Joel Sundstrom.
Lions won a penalty on the stroke of half time and Matthew Plumb received a red card after he and a Lions player got into an argument after the penalty was given. Leon Volz converted the penalty for Lions giving them a one goal lead at the break.
10-man Europa Point tried to overcome the defecit in the second half but things got worse when midfielder Justino Boldewijn received a second yellow card for bringing a Lions attacker down outside the box.
With 9-men it became an almost impossible task for the boys in blue but they held out until the 82nd minute when Lions added a third goal. Ndoji then made it 4 in the 91st minute.
A tough one to take for the lads but they will be looking to turn things around next Satruday against College.
