A Stepping Stone Club

17 November 2017

OUR IMPRESSIVE start to the season continued on Thursday night as we overcame the challenge of FC Boca Juniors by one goal to nil.
It was a result that sent us back to the top of the second division table and extended our unbeaten start to the season to seven League games.
“I am very happy with the result against a team like Boca,” said Pepe, who put in another skilful performance. “It’s another game unbeaten and another clean sheet, but we still have plenty more games to play this season, we have done nothing yet.
“It’s always good to go on an unbeaten run, though. It is well deserved thanks to the effort of the team, but we know that we have to be able to maintain the standards that we have set ourselves.
“There’s a good spirit amongst the team and I am happy with my performances so far. I know that I have things to improve on in order to help the team more, but I am willing to learn.
“The team is well-prepared for every game and next up we turn our attention to the Rock Cup. We feel that we can do well in every competition that we enter and it would be nice to make an impact in this cup and go as far as possible.”
We begin our Rock Cup campaign on Sunday, November 26th with a tie against College 1975 (kick-off 4.30pm). Come and show us your support...
